In partnership with Family Resource Networks (FRNs) and their communities, the Expanding Hope program involves developing and implementing an innovative service delivery model to provide access to services and supports that address the unique needs of pregnant and parenting teens across Alberta. This Project is a partnership between Terra Centre in Edmonton and Kindred in Calgary.
Young Parent Support Workers provide supports and services directly to pregnant and parenting youth across Alberta, and works with the Children’s Services funded Family Resource Networks to build their capacity to serve expecting and parenting youth.

FRNs
Provincial Family Resource Networks (FRNs) provide supports and services to help Alberta families become resilient, strong and healthy. Networks deliver prevention and early intervention services and supports for children and youth aged 0 to 18, as well as supports for parents and caregivers.
FRNs offer online and digital supports remotely to communities across Alberta, as well as in person. There are 70 FRN hubs across Alberta, which help to coordinate services in different communities and geographical areas, and 136 qualified service agencies or providers.
