During these free, two-night prenatal classes, young mothers and fathers can learn how to care for themselves or their partners and their baby before, during and after the birth of their baby. A Public Health Nurse will answer questions and provide information on:

  • Delivering your baby
    • Normal changes in 3rd trimester
    • Stages of labor and birth
    • When to go to the hospital
    • Role of the support person
  • Meeting your baby
    • Decision-making in labor & delivery
    • When things don’t go as planned
    • What to expect after delivery
    • Getting to know your newborn
  • You and your new baby
    • Feeding your baby
    • Learning to breastfeed
    • Understanding and responding to your baby
    • How to care for yourself

A light supper is provided.

Note: The class takes place from 5 – 8 p.m. on both June 12 and 13, 2019. The class is open to women under 23 years old who are in their 2nd or 3rd trimester and one support person.

You don’t need to be a current Terra participant to attend – these classes are open to the public.
