Samantha was living a high-risk lifestyle when she learned she was going to become a teen mom. Having grown up in foster care, and moved 22 times in her 16 years, she felt no sense of security or stability.

Through Terra, Samantha completed her high school education, accessed quality child care for her daughter, and secured a safe, affordable place to call home.

Today, Samantha is nearly finished her Social Work Degree at University of Calgary and was the recipient of the President’s Medal for Academic Excellence and Student Leadership when she previously attended MacEwan University. Her story is one you will not forget. Check out her speech at our Promising Futures 2015 event here.
