Terra relies on volunteers, financial and in-kind donations to offer services and support our teen parents.
At Terra, our specialized team tailors programs and services to meet the needs of each teen parent. Always safe, never judgemental. Learn more about what we have to offer our young families.
In 2020, a photographer and writer will be spending time in the Terra Centre’s Child and Family Support Centre to use their art to explore the story of early childhood development, culminating in an exhibit of their work held in April! We want to capture the moments of curiosity, play and success in a way that brings a new awareness to early learning and that reaches beyond our walls with the message of its importance.
Learning ALL Ways: Capture the Moment, done in partnership with the Project Management class at MacEwan University’s Arts and Cultural Management program, involves three generations of learners. The project itself is a celebration of the diversity of learning at all ages and stages: from babies in our centre, to teenagers at Braemar School, to students in post-secondary.
This project began in the fall of 2019 and has been a real hands-on experience for the MacEwan class. We look forward to working with the students, and with our upcoming artists, to continue the educational process for all of us. Make sure to follow our blog and social media channels to stay informed about upcoming events surrounding the project, and remember, keep Learning ALL Ways.
Our first collaborative event is coming up on February 6, 2020; the MacEwan class and Terra Centre are hosting a block party at the school to launch the project. We will have snacks, food and fun for people of all ages. We hope to see you there!
